Blue Skies Ahead {road trip - part 1 - chattanooga}

I have a goal set for myself to see all 50 states before I hit 30. So, when the opportunity arose for me to travel through several states with my childhood best friend, I could not pass it up. This is part 1 of 7 of my road trip adventure. Enjoy!

This is a little bit of what I have captured along the way...

Chattanooga was quite a delightful town. It is both quaint yet urban and only a two hour drive from Atlanta. The city has a nice ambiance in the evening with the added sparkle of lights strung through trees and people out and about walking along the streets, riverside, and bridges.

My journey started in Atlanta and from there we drove through:
  • Chattanooga, TN
  • Louisville, KY
  • Indianapolis, IN
  • Chicago, IL
  • Madison, WI
  • St. Paul, MN
  • Minneapolis, MN

    I wound up the trip with a plane ride back home to Atlanta. Not long after arriving home, I was in the car again for a trip down to Florida for my friend Emily's wedding.

    Stay tuned for more snapshots from my travels!

    1. Crazy! Ashley (my bestie) and I went on a road trip VERY similar to this one during the Summer in 2008. From Atlanta we stayed a night in Chattanooga, then a night in Nashville for the 4th of July, explored Louisville, Elizabethtown, and Columbus (Indiana, not Ohio), from there we hit up Indianapolis, and then - finally - spent an entire week in Chicago. It is, by far, the best trip I've ever been on!

    2. Nice Kristen! It is a pleasurable drive. So much to see and there is something keeping your attention every couple of hours.
