Emily's Cool & Comfortable

I am so appreciative that my dear friend, Emily Browne, allowed us to share a glimpse into her home that she shares with her boston terrier, Lucy.

Emily is absolutely gorgeous, always smiling, fantastically goofy, and a loyal friend. I met her almost three years ago when she was working as a commercial interior designer and first moving into her condo. I have been fortunate enough to see the space grow from a clean slate of white walls and furniture from her days of roommates and renting to something well, more Emily.

Emily’s decisiveness when selecting pieces may be due to her background as an Interior Designer. She knows when something works and would rather wait for the right piece than rush and buy something simply to fill the space.

She carefully selected these fun acrylic chairs around the dining room table adding interest without detracting from the view.

Artwork above the console was created by Emily. She is the type to do it herself when inspired but will also invest in custom accessories when she needs help creating her vision.

The guest bedroom/office is still considered a work in progress. The lamps were custom made by Lamp Art with vases from T.J.Maxx. While we were there she was discussing painting the wall behind the bed chartreuse to brighten up the room. She also has plans to replace the nightstands (not seen) later down the road.

One of Emily's favorite vacationing spots is her family’s place in Watercolor, Florida. Evidence of this is clear in the cool and crisp color palate of blues and greens she carefully selected for her home.

The headboard was designed and constructed by Emily. The lovely draperies and accent pillows were custom made.

A few things she would like to purchase in the future: black Murano glass chandelier, Shine Every Day's Media Console, DWR's Cellula Chandleier for over the bar, and mosaic tile for the kitchen.

Thank you for allowing Wonderlust to share your home Emily!
